CNC Machinist

Bournemouth

£17.94 per hour + 25% shift allowance

Our client is a global machinery manufacturer, and they are looking for a CNC Machinist to join their growing team!

CNC Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Setting / operating CNC machines, including lights out running
  • CNC Turning on 5 axis twin spindle / twin turrets and multi turrets
  • Read and interpreting from engineering drawings
  • Liaise with other team members, including machinists, engineers, and quality inspectors
  • Working on siemens and mazatrol controls
  • Follow the machining process required ensuring components are machined to correct specifications
  • Record daily output targets, identifying the issues and potential solutions that contribute to missed targets
  • Quality checking and inspection of own work
  • Measuring & loading / unloading of tooling
  • Change tooling / offsets in accordance with dimensions required
  • Monitor & update daily TPM charts, raising any issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate line lead / manager

CNC Machinist Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator in a manufacturing environment
  • Have a background within metal cutting
  • CNC Turning experience
  • Experience working on Siemens and Mazatrol controls
  • Certification from a machining program or apprenticeship (essential)
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Friday (Week 1) 6.00am - 8.45am (30 mins lunch) 9.15am - 2.00pm
  • Monday - Friday (Week 2) 2.00pm - 7.00pm (30 mins lunch) 7.30pm - 10.00pm
