About the Customer Service and Digital Mailroom Assistant role-

The successful candidate will start their placement with Customer Services in the corporate Digital Mailroom, which is one of the functions they manage.

Training will take a minimum of a few months, and beyond that ongoing coaching with experienced members of staff. Reliability and a level of commitment to the role is important.

Further opportunities may be available down the line to train on call handling and work a mixture of in-office at home working, however this would be following a sustained period working in the Digital Mailroom , which is only office-based.

About the Digital Mailroom

  • The DM process high volumes of incoming post for the entire services, which is often time sensitive and requires same day processing.
  • The DM is a small, office-based team, working cohesively together in and often pressurised environment
  • The role involves sorting and scanning large volumes of documents, data input and maintaining accurate digital records.
  • Data Protection is of the upmost importance due the sensitive, confidential, and legal nature of the documents handled.

  • A great team player
  • Experience in using Microsoft Teams
  • Experience in working in an office environment
  • Well organised, efficient with a great attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise essential tasks.
  • Experience of working in a high pressure and time-sensitive operational environment.

Willingness to undertake training and development, as necessary

  • This is a great opportunity for the right person, to go in and learn new skills, and have a chance to learn how to handle incoming calls from the public.
  • Ideally you will drive, have access to a car or be on a very good public transport link, as the role will be based out of Bournemouth, but they require flexibility to cover their Poole and Christchurch offices for sick and holiday leave, sharing this between the team.
