We are seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join our team, reporting to the Customer Service Manager. The successful candidate will be instrumental in achieving customer satisfaction by effectively communicating with clients and suppliers regarding waste services. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer care.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Answer all incoming calls, addressing queries or directing the call to the relevant department.
  • Listen to client queries, understand their needs, and provide support and advice, escalating issues to supervisors/managers when necessary.
  • Manage and resolve allocated ‘issues’ on Filemaker daily, ensuring all parties are updated and issues are completed as per standard procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers to discuss client points and provide effective correspondence on behalf of the client.
  • Verify bag deliveries and update the purchase order to reflect this.
  • Handle all received emails, providing answers to queries or allocating content to the relevant department.
  • Source ‘emergency suppliers’ when necessary and verify their compliance with the Environment Agency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in customer service, preferably in a related industry.
