ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER BOURNEMOUTH
We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the Wessex Water Framework on projects ranging from £3m to £8m across the Bournemouth region. You will be reporting to a Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting all technical and commercial aspects of Electrical and Mechanical installations onsite. Candidates ideally will be qualified in Electrical Engineering but should have a good appreciation of mechanical engineering.
Scope of Work:
Implement new and upgrade existing assets to reduce nutrient levels, including Phosphorus, in treated wastewater before it is released into waterways.
Mechanical and Electrical Installations: Work on new Dosing Skids, storage tanks with level instrumentation, MCERT flowmeters, pumps, actuated valves, penstocks, and access platforms.
Upgrades and Exchanges: Upgrade existing lighting and exchange old pumps, valves, flow meters, and instrumentation.
Role & Responsibilities:
Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings
Review electrical & mechanical design documentation
Review specifications and outline designs
Procurement of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment and support for subcontract procurement
Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards
Record and Review as-built information
Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Programme Updates
Procurement schedules
Qualifications/Competency:
Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical
Water Engineering background preferred
Good working Knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures
Microsoft Office and CAD packages
Good appreciation of Excel to a Higher level
