Our client, a prominent entity in the IT sector, is currently seeking a talented Software Asset Manager to join their IT Optimisation - IT Operations team in Bournemouth. This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid working pattern, requiring you to be in the office for 2 days per week. Our client is also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing centralised policies, processes, and procedures for the management of software assets.
  • Overseeing the rollout, maintenance, and administration of software asset management solutions and their integration with other systems.
  • Recording license entitlements, re-harvesting, and identifying areas for cost optimisation.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining workflow approvals for software license management requests.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting, addressing data completeness and quality issues.
  • Managing inquiries regarding software usage, deployment, and license availability.
  • Supporting responses to software vendor license compliance audits.
  • Monitoring changes to license terms and conditions, and alerting relevant stakeholders.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in an operational or IT environment.
  • Qualification in Software Asset Management or extensive experience with managing software licenses.
  • Proficiency with software asset management tools, preferably Flexera.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and improve performance measurement and reporting processes.
  • Experience in creating and distributing comprehensive reports.
  • Ability to manipulate data and summarise complex reports effectively.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Professional, including advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
