- Assessing and determining the outcome (acceptance or decline) for various applications covering critical illness, disability and life insurance
- When it is needed, liaising with customers in order to obtain further information to process their applications
- Ensuring that all work complies with both regulatory and statutory standards, alongside business guidelines
- Proactively keeping updated with the most recent developments regarding underwriting as well as advancements in medical/financial insurance
- When needed, reviewing the processes and procedures used and recommend solutions for improvements
- Providing support to junior team members to aid their learning and development
