Continuous Improvement Specialist

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Continuous Improvement Specialist for a company in the Bournemouth Area that build a variety of special purpose machinery that is supplied Internationally.

With no day ever being the same the Continuous Improvement Specialist role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organization.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Coach, train, and mentor site leadership to use OS methodologies to implement and sustain the leadership operating system.
  • Implementation and maintenance of the Operating System at the site level, including the building of organizational capability and personnel development.
  • Strong coaching and influencing capability, and problem-solving skills, while promoting development of these skills in others.
  • Initially facilitate key problem solving and kaizen events while developing the capability within leaders and others in key positions.
  • Ensure the Site Steering Committee and other designees fulfill the leadership learning model from the OS Implementation Guidebook, including their own learning and the deployment of specified modules to the factory floor process level.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations or other related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lean (Toyota Production System-based) thought processes, tools, and techniques, including kaizen, 5S, and standard work.
  • Lean Certification or Six Sigma Green Belt is highly desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Working Hours -

  • Mon - Thurs 8.00am -45pm & 13.15pm - 17.00pm
  • Friday 8.00am -00pm (39 hours)

£60,000 - £65,000
