Hours:37 hours per week, Monday Thursday 7.30am to 4pm & Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm

Due to an increase in demand for their products, a well-established manufacturing company is recruiting for a Planner to join their busy team.

Founded over 90 years ago, this company have developed & grown every year to where they are now known for the design & manufacture of aerospace components and parts.

As a Planner, you will be responsible for scheduling the flow of material throughout the manufacturing processes ensuring optimum efficiency within production while ensuring customer and stocking requirements are covered. You will be also need to react to changing demands and priorities and be able to resolve timing conflicts and constraints.

What youll be doing as our Planner:

Oversee production planning and control, liaising with the sales and procurement team for to forecast material requirements and scheduling.
Liaise daily with the Production Managers, Engineering and Supply Chain team on materials and machinery availability
Utilise available planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules
Participate in the Operations meetings, providing an overview, highlighting any risks relating to the plan.
Propose and implement continuous improvements in own area
Working to ensure smooth flow of goods and production.
Working in a busy supply chain function with the ability to adapt to change.
Prepare accurate monthly reports for line management.

The skills, knowledge and experience you will need as our Planner:

Proven experience in a Planning role
Effective communication and coordination
Knowledge of using a ERP or CRM system
Analytics, demand forecasting and production scheduling
Ability to work under pressure
Experience from a fast-paced Manufacturing environment
Good knowledge of using excel
