Job Title: Allocations OfficerLocation: Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole (BCP)Contract: TemporaryHours: 35 per weekRate: £17.88 per hour LTD.Role Summary:We are currently recruiting for an Allocations Officer to support the allocation of social rented and supported accommodation. The role involves administering allocations in line with legislation and policy, conducting verification checks, and providing advice to applicants and landlords.Key Responsibilities:?? Process allocations of social rented and supported accommodation in line with the Housing Act 1996 (Part 6).?? Conduct verification checks (credit references, address, and ID verification) to prevent fraud.?? Act as the first point of contact for landlords regarding property availability, adverts, nominations, and refusals.?? Respond to queries regarding the allocations policy.?? Provide specialist advice to applicants and multi-agency partners on allocation and tenancy matters.?? Maintain accurate case files, records, and contribute to policy reviews.?? Monitor housing demands, including emergency homeless cases and specialised accommodation needs.Requirements:?? Previous experience in customer service, including face-to-face and telephone contact.?? Experience working with vulnerable clients or in a challenging environment.?? Background in housing services or a similar field.?? Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.?? A Level, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience.Personal Qualities & Attributes:? Resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.? Strong organisational and time management skills.? Excellent communication skills across all sectors.? Ability to negotiate and mediate between landlords and applicants.? Commitment to preventing homelessness.Additional Requirements:
