We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary SEMH Teacher to join a school based in Bournemouth. As a Primary SEMH Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support and guidance to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive academically and emotionally. The ideal candidate will be able to teach across Key Stage 1 and 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise innovative teaching methods to deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH requirements.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create personalized learning plans that address the specific needs and challenges of each student.
- Implement strategies and interventions to promote the social and emotional wellbeing of students, helping them develop essential life skills and coping mechanisms.
- Regularly assess student progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their academic and personal development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
