Job Summary:
Finance Assistant / Accounts Manager
£28,000 - £30,000 per annum - Permanent role
Full Time: 9am - 5pm (One day WFH)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable using Sage Line 50
- Working within a close knit team
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Support the preparation of annual audits.
- Liaise with suppliers, understanding funding streams and government grants.
- Ensure compliance with charity financial regulations and best practices.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience in accounting.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a charity or non-profit organization.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (especially Sage) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
