Learning Support Assistant - SEN College in BournemouthAcademics are recruiting for a hard-working and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join an SEN College in Bournemouth which caters for young people aged 16 - 25 years with aspergers or high functioning autism. This is a full-time, temp to perm position to start ASAP. Please only applying if you are looking for a long term/permanent position. This position is suited to a Learning Support Assistant living in Bournemouth with previous experience of working in a school support position, ideally with pupils with SEN, in particular autism and/or aspergers. You will be required to support students on a 1:1 and small group basis. Many of the learners display challenging behaviour and may also suffer with mental health conditions that impact their ability to achieve their potential so the ideal candidate will be calm, empathetic and encouraging.

Students have individual learning plans encompassing the key features of post-16 study programmes, tailored to their needs, abilities and preferences.
