SEN Teaching Assistant – Bournemouth

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant

The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where our students can thrive. We cater for children aged 3 - 19 years old with a range of special educational needs, including moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), speech and language communication needs, and complex learning difficulties and disabilities. Our dedicated staff work closely with each student to support their unique journey towards independence and learning success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences
• Assist students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers

What We’re Looking For:

• A compassionate and patient individual with a genuine interest in working with children with special educational needs
• Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support is preferable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• A positive attitude and a desire to make a difference
