We are seeking a skilled permanent Site Engineer to join our team at a leading main contractor in the construction in the North East. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in setting out and be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and one-person total station robotic systems. You will be responsible for working on various commercial new build projects across the North East of England, ensuring that projects are completed with precision, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out and levelling construction sites using one-person total station robotic equipment. Your role will involve ensuring that all measurements and coordinates are accurate, supporting the successful delivery of projects. You will provide technical support to the site team, assisting with resolving any technical issues that arise during the construction process and ensuring that all works are carried out according to design specifications and industry standards.

You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD, updating and modifying them as required throughout the project. Ensuring quality control on-site is a key part of the role, where you will conduct regular inspections to maintain compliance with project specifications and building regulations. Your role will include promoting and enforcing strict adherence to health and safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing measures to mitigate potential hazards.

Effective coordination and communication with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders are crucial to ensuring smooth project execution. You will attend regular site meetings, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns. Additionally, you will maintain comprehensive site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and material deliveries, and assist in preparing necessary documentation for project approvals and inspections.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of an HND\HNC or higher in civil Engineering or a related field and have at least 3 years of experience in a Site Engineer role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using AutoCAD for preparing and modifying construction drawings, as well as operating one-person total station robotic surveying equipment, is essential. A strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, along with knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and building standards in the UK, is required. A valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence are also necessary.

Personal Attributes:

We are looking for someone with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organisational and time management abilities, and effective communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work.

Benefits:
