Robert Walters are currently partnering with a highly acquisitive, fast paced organisation who specialise within the professional services space who are seeking a Financial Controller with a strong technical finance background to join them on a permanent basis.

This role will allow the successful candidate to be based predominantly from home with occasional travel to offices in Surrey, Berkshire and London when required (circa 2/3 days per month)

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finance function and operations of our client, ensuring accurate application of IFRS within the business. Overseeing the daily accounting function, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting function, improving financial processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

You will lead a finance team and provide support on IFRS compliance, driving improvements in financial reporting and compliance whilst collaborating with stakeholders across an ever changing, evolving environment.

Key responsibilities for this Financial Controller role include:

- Ensuring full compliance with IFRS across all financial reporting

- Support the implementation of new IFRS standards and updates ensuring the organisation is up to date with regulatory changes

- Provide technical support on complex accounting treatments and transactions in accordance with IFRS

- Analyst the impact of new accounting standards on the business and advise on adjustments where necessary

- Act as the expert across the business on IFRS providing ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders across the business

- Lead or participate on projects such a M&A and other transactions that require IFRS expertise

- Lead the annual budgeting process

- Ensure cross business function integration such between units such as Procurement, Operations & Sales

- Manage, mentor and develop a finance team

- Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA,C.A,CPA) with a minimum 5 years PQE

- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS with proven experience in applying and interpreting IFRS standards is essential

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data

- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to continuous improvement

Our client are looking to offer a salary of between £85,000 - £95,000 plus an excellent benefits package for this Financial Controller role. As stated, this will be predominantly be based remotely (you must be U.K based) with the ability to get to offices in Surrey, Berkshire and London when needed.
