Our client is a growing business based in Bracknell looking to hire a Financial Controller, the role will manage a team of 10 and support the Group Financial Controller by ensuring that the control team is run effectively and efficiently on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities:• To work collaboratively with the Board, Senior Leadership Team, Line Manager and Colleagues to ensure compliance and duties are upheld.• Day to day management of the finance control team circa 10 people• Overseeing preparation of monthly management accounts• Reporting management accounts to the Group Financial Controller and wider management in monthly review meetings• Ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger and that all accounts are fully reconciled• Review of management accounts and month-end ledgers to identify any unusual trends or inconsistencies• Ensuring staff have a good understanding of transactions and their flows• Training and mentoring staff in the control team• Review of non-statutory reporting, both internally and externally, to ensure outputs are accurate• Liaising with other areas of the wider finance team as well as other business areas• Lead statutory audit process including allocation of responsibilities within the team and communication with external auditors• Preparation of year end statutory accounts under current UK and Irish GAAP• Good technical knowledge and ability to interpret relevant accounting standards• Monitoring of processes and controls to ensure they are functioning correctly and being adhered to• Updating documentation to ensure policies and processes are accurately recordedA salary of £70,000-£75,000 is on offer plus great benefits such as 27 days holiday and 10% pension contribution
