Accounts Assistant - 4 month contract with a view to go permanent

If so, then we have an excellent opportunity for you. Our client, based in Bracknell, is a leading tech business who are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Assistant to join their team, initially on a 4-month contract. Due to company expansion there is the possibility of the position going permanent for the right person.

This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and you will be working alongside other team members within Accounts Payable and Credit Control.

Daya to day responsibilities include:

- Ensuring all accounting entries are accurate

- Reviewing and entry against receipted stock items and vendor invoices

- Checking and chasing that returned items have been returned and a credit note has been received

- Assisting in the preparation of weekly payment runs

- Resolving accounts payable related queries

- Vendor reconciliation

- Processing Employee Expense Claims

- Setting up and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register

- Bank Reconciliation

- Monthly prepayment reconciliation and journal

- Credit Insurance monitoring

- Customer Debt chasing

Experience and skills required:

- Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant

- Experience using accounting systems

- Excellent communication skills and telephone manager

- AAT qualification (desirable)

This role works closely with the sales team to ensure credit control is managed effectively with key accounts. It would suit someone who enjoys working within an outgoing and confident team.
