We have a fantastic opportunity within an IT team for a market leading retailer to join them as a Infrastructure Delivery Lead covering all key technology towers, including Network, Security and Data Centre. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and proactive individual to lead a number of business critical deliverables, including a Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) implementation to deliver a secure, robust, stable and performant security solution, and a significant Data Centre change programme.

The role:You will be working as part of a large team covering a spectrum of infrastructure and security technologies in a modern hybrid enterprise environment where large interdependencies make up a complex, yet successful infrastructure and security capability.

You will drive and be accountable for the outcomes the business requires in relation to the ZTNA Implementation and Data Centre change. This means that you will be working effectively with Partners and strategic third party Managed Service providers to ensure successful end to end outcomes whilst managing operational/cost risks throughout.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop working relationships with key business stakeholders and build understanding of the commercial, technical, and operational landscape
  • Be a knowledgeable resource in Zero Trust technology and related security solutions
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external engineering teams
  • Deliver value by driving quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness from the ZTNA Implementation
  • Manage suppliers and vendors to ensure Infrastructure and security platforms remain secure, stable, robust and performant.
  • Govern the deployment of a ZTNA VPN replacement project being largely managed by incumbent vendors and managed service suppliers and ensure that they deliver against agreed SLAs, key metrics, and statements of work.
  • Manage an initiative to identify, analyse, design and pilot an additional set of ZTNA use cases and develop an associated business case and deployment plan for delivery in 2026.
  • Influence decisions in relation to the vendor and provisioning of service
  • Work with Architecture to ensure deliverables are aligned with the business and technical strategy, producing business cases to deliver change and innovation.
  • Lead and manage a key initiative to deliver a significant change in our Data Centre services. A key grasp of connectivity, network, and DC environments is required.

What you'll have:

  • Experience in numerous delivery models to deliver large scale programmes of work, at pace, and without impact to services, including service design and introduction
  • Demonstrable experience of leading managed service providers in a complex enterprise IT environment
  • Previous experience of managing significant changes for physical Data Centre (focused on the infrastructure components rather than application migration / transformation)
  • Excellent stakeholder, supplier and vendor management; strong negotiation skills and the ability to command the confidence and respect of all stakeholders.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of modern cloud and hosted Service principles, along with proven experience of how these technologies support an enterprise business.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, with outstanding problem-solving skills, an analytical mind and demonstrate a strong attention to detail.

  • Network: Palo Alto, NSX, Next Generation Firewalls, zScer, Network Proxy, VPN
  • Security: Splunk technologies,, zSCaler, SOC/SIEM,
  • Identity Solution: AD, LDAP, MFA, SSO
  • VMware Enterprise Products - ESXi and NSX
  • Windows and Linux Servers
  • Data Centre hosting and Colo Services
