My client is a leading, international Brand looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join their expanding team.
Role Overview: The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for defining and implementing the SMS strategy for the business.
This includes creating an annual plan covering BAU campaigns, automated programmes, CRM activity, and discount triggers.
The role involves close collaboration with the CRM team for customer segmentation and targeting, managing the SMS budget, and ensuring maximum value for money through monitoring SMS usage and credits.
Key Responsibilities:
- SMS Strategy Development:
- Define the SMS strategy for the business, including an annual plan covering BAU campaigns, automated programmes, CRM activity, and discount triggers.
- Collaborate with the CRM team on customer segmentation and targeting.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the SMS budget.
- Monitor SMS usage and credits to ensure maximum value for money.
- Request required translations from agencies.
- Omni-Channel, Automation & Personalisation:
- Manage all automated programmes in UKI and CE, including regular monitoring and improvements.
- Utilise the Emarsys platform to execute omni-channel campaigns to improve customer experience and aid conversion.
- Participate in scoping sessions for new or optimising existing customer lifecycle programmes.
- Adopt an 'automate first’ approach to programme and campaign execution.
- Team Management:
- Manage the Digital Communications Specialist and have dotted line responsibility for the Digital Communications Coordinator.
- Ensure accurate workload scheduling on a weekly basis.
- Develop and ensure direct reports have up-to-date PDPs and objectives.
- Manage the performance of direct reports through 1:1s, coaching, and consistent feedback.
Candidate Skills
- Successful candidates must have demonstrable experience in email marketing ideally within retail or ecommerce, with strong knowledge of email marketing tools (Emarsys experience highly desirable).
