The RoleAre you a skilled and experienced CDM Principal Designer with a deep understanding of construction processes and a passion for health and safety? Do you hold membership in a relevant professional institution? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are a specialist construction consultancy with a strong focus on CDM and Health & Safety, looking to expand our team with a dedicated CDM Principal Designer. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, providing expert guidance throughout all project stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Principal Designer, overseeing and coordinating the pre-construction phase and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Engage with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure that all designs comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide advice to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Regularly attend site visits and coordinate safety measures across multiple projects.

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a CDM Principal Designer.
  • Current membership of the Association for Project Safety (IMaPS minimum; CMaPS preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Flexibility for travel and overnight stays when required.
  • A full, clean UK Driving Licence.

We also welcome candidates with lesser experience for a Principal Designer role, provided they demonstrate the right skills and enthusiasm.
