Electrical Estimator

4Site have an excellent opportunity for an established electrical estimator to join a M&E Contractorduring an exciting growth period.

Working directly with several team members, your role will involve tendering multiple projects with values ranging from 10k to 2,000,000. This will include working as part of a multidisciplinary team to review the current supply chain and assist in negotiating current rates and terms of business.

Our client are a progressive and dynamic company that is constantly evolving. They'relooking for an experienced estimator to help support theirgrowth.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process quotations, bids, and tenders.
  • Prepare supplier and subcontractor enquiries.
  • Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work, and contractor proposal documents to support bids.
  • Assess material, labourand plant requirements during tender compilation.
  • Produce breakdowns, substantiations, and undertake value engineering processes to meet client budgetary requirements.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to establish project specifications, preliminary requirements, risk provisions, and exclusions.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with colleagues and/or clients when necessary.
  • Ensure all contract documentation accurately represents offers, and that reports, cost data, and supporting information are available at the appropriate time.
  • Maintain records and filing of information related to submitted tenders.
  • Follow up on submitted tenders/quotations.
  • Review unsuccessful bids and obtain client and operational feedback on completed contracts to improve the accuracy of future tenders.
  • Conduct handover meetings for successful bids.

Requirements:

  • Proactive, professional, and approachable, lead by example.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understanding of associated electrical services.
  • Commercial acumen to ensure tenders are financially sound.
  • Flexible and dedicated in approach to deadlines.
  • Computer literate with experience using 'Estimation' software, including issuing/updating tender documents via an electronic control system.
  • Willing and able to work as part of a team, with personal skills to promote good relationships and a friendly working environment.
  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained in accordance with company QA policies.
  • Capable of working in an integrated team.

  • Salary range between 55,000 up to 75,000, depending on experience
