JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Warehouse Manager who has good management and staff supervisory experience with a solid background in managing a warehouse from staff management, maintaining stock levels, overseeing loading and delivery schedules and general day-2-day operations.

Due to continued growth, this nationwide, well-established company is opening a brand-new warehouse in Bracknell to enhance their delivery scope and network.

As the Warehouse Manager you will join a dynamic team where youll oversee operations of the set up and day to day efficient running of this New Southern Hub for a thriving manufacturing, delivery, and hire company. This is your chance to take on a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and driving team efficiency.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Warehouse Manager include:

  • Supervise and manage the Southern Hub, ensuring stock levels, cleanliness, and quality control
  • Oversee the scheduling and loading of deliveries, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Maintain health and safety standards across the yard and site
  • Work closely with production and head office teams to meet scheduling demands and stock needs
  • Manage company vans, ensuring proper maintenance and service scheduling
  • Travel occasionally to the Deeside location for training or meetings
  • Escalate any work-related issues to the appropriate person, e.g., Management, operations, HR
  • Point of contact and support to Bracknell Team with any product and fitting queries and questions, identifying any learning/training gaps
  • Ensure the company fleet on site are looked after and kept clean, tidy and any incidents are reported
  • Be the contact for the office in relation to customer complaints generated as a result of the Service Teams actions
  • Manage the various communication channels to ensure actual issues and solutions are conveyed constructively
  • Follow H&S procedures highlighting potential issues swiftly
  • Look for opportunities to improve the product, quality, efficiency through your role

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience managing a warehouse / depot with good team leadership / supervisory experience
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately. With the ability to ensure all works, including maintenance works, are carried out to a high standard and in line with the companys expectations
  • Stock management expertise and the ability to prioritise tasks under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to assist across the business, with the ability to investigate issues and address them in a timely manner adhering to company polices
  • Physical fitness for an active role and a full UK driving license
  • Bonus skills: PAT testing, boiler testing, or IOSH qualifications (desired but not essential)
