Our client is looking for a Shipping Coordinator, this is a full time role and is based in the Bracknell area

Duties:

Proceed with the necessary export licence applications and production of related documentation to meet UK and international regulations as appropriate

You will liaise regularly with our freight forwarding agents, assist in the co-ordination and despatch of shipments, and prepare bank claims against Letters of Credit.

Skills/Experience:

Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air certification

Solid experience and understanding of import and export processes

Understanding of Incoterms

Use of LITE export licence application system

Working knowledge of Letters of Credit

Clear concise communication skills

Fluency in English

IT literate (Microsoft Office)

The ideal candidate will have a background of project or contract support in the Aerospace & Defence or Security sectors, with an understanding of the associated procurement and tender processes. As part of a small team, a flexible attitude and willingness to undertake other ad hoc duties is essential. We are looking for candidates who are articulate communicators with an acute attention to detail, who can work simultaneously on multiple contracts when necessary. A current forklift licence would be advantageous.

The position is office-based, Hours 08.45am - 5.30pm (some flexibility here) Due to the location of our premises, a car owner/driver is necessary. On-site parking is available.

Holidays, 20 days per year plus bank holidays and an extra 3 days for over the Christmas period. There is a 2-week shutdown over the Christmas & New Year period. Pension Fund contributions to NEST (National
