Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a great business in the Bradford area as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will provide support to the Finance team with the day to day running of the department, including month end duties. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Posting journals
  • Purchase and sales ledger, including credit control, when needed
  • Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Nominal ledger reconciliations
  • Supporting other members of the accounts department in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Supporting with the audits and information required by other external parties
  • Processing of expenses
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required
  • Undertake project work as and when required and support Operational Managers
  • To be committed to own continuing professional development.
  • To work alongside the other Finance team and assist with any queries/tasks as required

Person Specification:

  • Ideally recently qualified AAT or Accounting graduate
  • Sound experience in all round accounts role
  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within limited supervision; to make decisions and use own initiative
  • Ability to demonstrate strong IT skills including Excel
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and to manage a number of activities at any one time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with sensitive & confidential matters as necessary
  • Ensure high levels of data protection and security at all times and swift reporting of breaches
