Job Summary
Russell Taylor are seeking a Class 1 driver to work for a food delivery client based in Bradford.
The role will involve a trunk run to other depots or to a wholesaler. There is no physical handball involved other than using a pump trunk to move the load to the back of the trailer when delivering to a wholesaler.
This is a temp to perm role working Monday to Friday starting between (Apply online only).
The Pay for the role is 15.00 per hr
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while considering traffic conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure the proper loading and unloading of cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during operations.
Experience
- 2 years experience required for insurance purposes.
- A valid commercial driving licence is essential, along with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in logistics.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
