We are looking for a talented and experienced Principal Electronics Engineer to join our growing team at a global, multi-billion-pound engineering and manufacturing leader, based near Bradford. Due to an upcoming retirement, this is your chance to take ownership of a specialty within our electronic engineering division and spearhead the development of cutting-edge projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage a range of electronic development projects, ensuring they meet bespoke client specifications and deliver exceptional results.
  • Design, develop, write, and test software programs, leveraging your expertise in Python and Linux.
  • Contribute your in-depth knowledge of electronic hardware design to create innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with a small, dedicated team, sharing your expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field and continuously improve your skills. (J1939 experience is a plus!)

What you'll bring:

  • A degree in Electronic Engineering or demonstrably equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python and Linux software.
  • Advanced skills in at least one commonly used high-level programming language.
  • A passion for electronics design and a strong desire to push boundaries.
  • Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration.
