About the Role:As the Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting excellent attendance across the school. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to monitor, track, and improve attendance rates. Your proactive approach will contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and analysing attendance data to identify patterns and areas of concern.
  • Collaborating with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies to address attendance issues.
  • Building positive relationships with students and families to overcome barriers to attendance.
  • Ensuring all attendance records are accurate and up-to-date in line with school and statutory requirements.
  • Supporting the implementation of attendance policies and interventions.

What We're Looking For:To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in an attendance-focused role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, parents, and external agencies.
  • A compassionate, solution-focused mindset, with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and professionally.
