French Teacher
NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a school in Bradford for a French Teacher. NextGen Teachers are an education recruitment agency working with schools across West Yorkshire. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated French Teacher to join our team and inspire students to achieve their full potential in mastering the French language. The school is rated 'Good' in all areas of Ofsted and is part of a larger, very reputable, academy trust.
Responsibilities of a French Teacher:
- Teach French to students from year 7 to year 11 (GCSE level)
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum and school objectives
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in French
- Use creative teaching methods and resources to make French language learning enjoyable and accessible
- Assess and track student progress through regular tests, assignments, and projects
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events
Requirements of a French Teacher:
- PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teaching Status)
- A degree in French
- Fluency in French (native or near-native proficiency)
- Previous teaching experience in French
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students
- Ability to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning needs
- The right to work in the UK
