About the RoleAs the School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient welcome. You will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the school, handling administrative tasks, and supporting various departments. This is a full-time position with hours from 09:00 to 17:00. Starting ASAP, the role is initially until Easter but could become permanent for the right candidate.

Essential requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role in a school.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Familiarity with school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor (preferred)
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office and school management systems (e.g., SIMS).
- Multitasking capability in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors, students, and staff with a professional and friendly approach.
- Managing the school's main phone line, directing calls, and taking messages as necessary.
- Ensuring safeguarding protocols are adhered to for all visitors.
- Assisting with student attendance records and monitoring absences.
- Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
- Managing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Booking appointments and scheduling meetings for staff and leadership.
- Supporting pastoral care by liaising with staff and parents.
- Undertaking any other tasks reasonably requested by senior management.
- Supporting the admissions process, including handling inquiries and applications.
