This is an exciting opportunity for a HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety, and Environmental aspect of a local manufacturing business who make structural steel products for the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, implementing and reviewing HSE standards and policies to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Description

  • Develop and implement HSE strategies and action plans
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and industry HSE standards
  • Oversee all audits and inspections to maintain accreditations and certifications
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance
  • Lead and manage the HSE team to achieve objectives
  • Review and update HSE policies and procedures regularly

Profile

A successful HSQE Manager should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in HSE - CMIOSH, Tech IOSH or similar is required
  • Experience in the construction world or manufacturing building products is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legal and industry HSE standards
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in conducting audits and risk assessments
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HSE strategies
  • Exceptional communication and training skills
