Art and Design Teacher

NextGen Teachers are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in Bradford for an Art and Design teacher. As an Art and Design Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and educating students in both the theoretical and practical aspects of art and design. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering creativity, and helping students develop their skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design, and other artistic disciplines. You will encourage students to think critically, experiment with new ideas, and develop a deep appreciation for the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and challenging lessons in Art and Design, aligned with the school's curriculum and national standards
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express their ideas and creativity
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Prepare students for exams and coursework, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience for students

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Art, Design, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience in teaching Art and Design to secondary school students
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for art and design education and the ability to inspire students
  • The right to work in the UK
