The firm are seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join their busy team defending pre-litigation personal injury claims. Applicants should possess 5 years+ experience in an EL/PL claims handling role, ideally with experience of handling retail claims, and be able to hit the ground running. Excellent communication, a strong analytical mindset and a methodological approach are a must, along with sound IT skills and the ability to build strong relationships.Under the advice and guidance of your supervisor, the main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ability and experience to handle complex and high value claims (not catastrophic).
  • Ability to use the MOJ EL/PL Portal.
  • Deal with opponents, experts, statutory bodies and client by e-mail, telephone and in writing.
  • Negotiate on issues of liability and quantum.
