Their clients range from individual entrepreneurs and family businesses to some of the UK's most successful companies and well-known brands.The RoleOur client is seeking a Junior Claims Handler with at least 6 months of experience to join their busy team defending Employers’ Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims. Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of your supervisor, your main duties will include:
  • Handling EL/PL personal injury claims from start to pre-litigation, ideally focusing on retail cases.
  • Using the MOJ EL/PL Portal to manage cases.
  • Building great relationships with clients and delivering top-notch service.
  • Talking to opponents, experts, statutory bodies, and clients via email, phone, and letters.
  • Negotiating settlements on liability and compensation.
  • Chasing third parties to recover client losses when needed.
  • Keeping claims records up to date, including financials, reserves, and risks.
  • Following all internal, client, and legal procedures.
  • Staying current with legislation and best practices by attending training sessions.
  • Providing friendly and professional service to individuals representing themselves.
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA/Law Society rules and promoting equality and diversity at the firm.
 Essential Skills: 
  • A law graduate 
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
  • Methodical, process-driven approach to work.
  • Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and the ability to manage a high workload.
Desirable Experience:
  • Handling EL/PL cases.
  • Familiarity with RTA claims (considered as an alternative).
