Personal Injury Claims Handler

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, senior level Claims Handler with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join a leading L500 law firm in Bradford.

There is an immediate requirement for a full-time Senior Claims Handler to join this busy team, defending pre-litigation personal injury claims. Applicants should possess 5 years+ experience in an EL/PL claims handling role, ideally with experience of handling retail claims, and be able to hit the ground running.

Main Duties

Under the advice and guidance of your supervisor, your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Handling complex and high value claims (not catastrophic)
• Using the MOJ EL/PL Portal
• Dealing with opponents, experts, statutory bodies and client by e-mail, telephone and in writing
• Negotiating on issues of liability and quantum
• Pursuing recovery of clients’ losses, where appropriate, from third parties
• Maintaining accurate financial/reserve/risk management information on all claims
