Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an engineering company to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Bradford.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for producing detailed designs, providing support to both pre- and post-sales functions and managing a team of design engineers.
Our client is looking for someone who enjoys keeping up to date with new technology, works well as part of a multi discipline engineering team and has a continuous improvement mindset strivingto continuously improve products.
Duties of the Senior Design Engineer will include:
- Mentor and develop the design team
- Work on a variety of drawings from single line design concepts to intricate detailed manufacturing drawings
- Overseeing the day-to-day work completed by the team including specifications, designs and BOMs
- Liaising with the drawing department to produce sales proposal drawings
- Providing technical support and training to internal and external customers
- Investigate potential product development opportunities and lead the prototyping and testing of new products
We are keen to speak with Senior Design Engineers with the following skills/experience:
- People management experience
- Experiencefault finding, anddiagnosing issues
- Inventor and Vault experienceÂ
- Strong understanding of production and assembly processes within a fabrication environment
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Working to ISO9001 quality procedures and CDM regulations.
