Manufacturing Futures are looking to appoint an experienced Production Shift Manager to join a well-known manufacturing business on a 6-2 or 2-10 shift pattern (both are available). If you're an experienced Production Shift Manager looking to join a large growing business then this role is for you!Production Shift Manager - Role and Responsibilities - Production Manager, Production Team Leader, Lean, Manufacturing- Ensuring an efficient production operation which is able to fulfil operational and customer demand- Overseeing the production process including planning production schedules to meet customer orders in liaison with Operations- Maintaining metrics/KPIs (OTIF, AOTIF, FPMH, RFT, Cost-to-Quality), reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training and health and safety records- Strategically manage production in compliance with company policies, procedures and vision- In liaison with the HR Manager, recruit, coach, motivate and mentor Team Leaders, Cell Leaders and Operatives- Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are fully met and waste is reduced- In liaison with Operations Manager, identify opportunities to ensure efficient space utilisation and production flow (lean manufacturing, Kaizan, Kanban, Continuous Improvement, 5s, etc.)Production Shift Manager - Skills and Abilities - Production Manager, Production Team Leader, Lean, Manufacturing- Experience within a fast paced production facility as a Production Manager- The ability to manage a large team on shift and work closely with another Shift Manager to ensure KPIs are adhered to- Lean manufacturing knowledge is essential with obvious experience of introducing new ideas into a business (lean manufacturing, Kaizan, Kanban, Continuous Improvement, 5s, etc.)- Ability to liaise with the Directors and Managers across the board to help grow the company and improve areas of the business where necessaryProduction Shift Manager, Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing, Production Leader, Operational Management, Lean ImprovementIf you feel this role is something you could get your teeth into then please don't hesitate to apply!
