Spencer Clarke Group's client, a local authority in West Yorkshire, is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Project Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a seasoned NEC contract manager and project/programme manager who can effectively manage and deliver capital infrastructure projects up to 20m. This position offers a hybrid working model with a requirement for 2 days office-based work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall project management to deliver capital infrastructure projects up to a value of 20m.
  • Work closely with the Highways & Transportation Team Leaders to manage medium to complex projects.
  • Represent the service in internal, inter-service, and external meetings, including sub-regional meetings, corporate and directorate initiatives.
  • Attend public meetings, Area Forums, delegation meetings, Scrutiny Committees, and other similar meetings as required.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, project planning, and management of projects, including budget management and procurement.
  • Provide effective project management information to enable the work programme of the team to be directed, controlled, coordinated, and prioritised.
  • Manage the budget assigned to enable delivery of individual projects and provide financial reports regarding spending to the Team Leader for Traffic, Engineering, and Design.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering OR demonstrate an equivalent level of theoretical, technical, and procedural knowledge.
  • APM or Prince2 qualification.
  • Experience in managing NEC contracts.
  • Proven experience working on infrastructure/engineering projects and managing capital infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing partnerships with stakeholders, including political members, suppliers, and public and private organizations.
