Pinnacle Group are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff. The Chief of Staff will perform a central coordinating role for the senior leadership team on the company’s flagship contract, the National Accommodation Management Services (NAMS) contract, delivered through our Pinnacle Service Families (PSF) division. The contract provides housing management services to 49,(Apply online only) homes and the military families who live in them on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. As part of the team, you’ll sign up to our mission: To be champions of Service Families, advocating for them in everything we do.

The Chief of Staff will be responsible for maintaining an overview of key priorities and deliverables across the team, you will ensure that we consistently deliver intelligent solutions on time and to a high standard. You will be a strong and effective communicator with a point of view you’re prepared to share, a natural problem solver and comfortable working at pace. You will have strong resonance with our vision, mission and values, and a high degree of empathy with military families. You won't be afraid to get stuck in and support the team and your positive solutions-focused approach will bring value and energy to the team.

This is a remote role that can be based anywhere however there will be frequent travel in particular to Liverpool and London.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the contract Senior Leadership Team (SLT) overseeing priorities, actions and deliverables arising from client meetings as well as managing the team’s collective priorities.
  • Support delivery of the operational improvement plan, including impact assessments, training, communications and engagement.
  • Develop strong business partnerships with other internal departments and our external partners.
  • Retain a strong conceptual overview of the Future Defence Infrastructure Services vision and Pinnacle’s role in the contract structure, ensuring clarity on our responsibilities, as well as our families first commitment.
  • Work with SLT colleagues to innovate and implement change, combining strategic and analytical perspectives with a pragmatic approach.
  • Bring a new perspective to initiatives, challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to do things better/cheaper/faster.

Person Specification:

  • Highly effective communication skills, conveying key messages in a clear, precise and structured way and, at the same time, speaking and presenting with authority and conviction.
  • Excellent analytical skills and good judgement, quickly understanding and interpreting complex issues and problems, coming up with sound and rational responses.
  • Highly skilled in working at both detail and bigger picture levels.
  • Values-led alongside a high degree of empathy with military families.
  • A self-starter, with the ability to engage and motivate both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of identifying opportunities, developing solutions and prioritising delivery to maximise business benefit.
  • Experience in delivering end to end change from inception through to adoption.
