Best In Class are working with a school in Bradford who are looking for a number of SEND Support Assistantsto assist the learning of children with additional needs.

Being a SEND Support Assistant within a Primary School setting is a challenging but extremely rewarding role! As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you know you can leave for the day feeling a high sense of achievement and job satisfaction - with the knowledge that you've really made a difference to the quality of learning children receive.

These roles are to begin as soon as possible. There will be the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff for the right candidates!

In your role, your responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting children with additional needs including; Autism, ASD, ADHD, Global Delay or Communication and Language difficulties
  • Scaffolding activities to meet the needs of learners with diverse needs
  • Working 1:1 and building up a close relationship with children
  • Following all safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Liasing with colleagues and sometimes parents about progress
  • Supporting the class teacher to make learning materials inclusive
  • Supporting children with social and emotional development including managing friendships

Desired:

  • L2 or above TA Qualification
  • Education based degree or qualification

Essential:

  • Grade A-C in English & Maths
  • Experience with children that have diverse needs
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to work in a team with colleagues
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Available full time
