About the Role:

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will work with a complex caseload, utilising your advanced skills and knowledge to assess needs, develop care plans, and deliver effective interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a complex caseload of children in care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Provide intensive support and intervention to children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, foster carers, teachers, and health professionals.
  • Prepare and present reports for court.
  • Mentor and support less experienced social workers.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work degree.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience of working with children in care.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Excellent assessment, planning, and intervention skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
