- Manage a complex caseload, providing high-quality interventions to children and families.
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct work with children in need, those on child protection plans, and looked-after children.
- Offer mentorship and professional support to social workers within the team.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, families, and professionals to deliver effective, child-centred solutions.
- Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and review meetings.
- Contribute to a learning culture, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve outcomes for children.
- Ensure all casework is recorded accurately and complies with legislative frameworks and best practices.
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court work.
- Skills: Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Knowledge: A thorough understanding of child development, safeguarding legislation, and social work methodologies.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work flexibly, including attending office-based meetings and team days as required.
