Description

Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Children & Families Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation that prioritises the well-being of children and families.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality social work, supporting children at risk, and ensuring they grow up in safe and nurturing environments. You will also provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, helping to develop best practices across the team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex caseload, providing high-quality interventions to children and families.
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct work with children in need, those on child protection plans, and looked-after children.
  • Offer mentorship and professional support to social workers within the team.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies, families, and professionals to deliver effective, child-centred solutions.
  • Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and review meetings.
  • Contribute to a learning culture, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve outcomes for children.
  • Ensure all casework is recorded accurately and complies with legislative frameworks and best practices.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court work.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: A thorough understanding of child development, safeguarding legislation, and social work methodologies.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work flexibly, including attending office-based meetings and team days as required.
