  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, both individually and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive and stimulating learning environment that caters to individual learning styles and fosters a love of learning.
  • Implement strategies and interventions designed to support pupil's academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model and building their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent and holistic support for pupils.

Key qualities and experience:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of different learning styles and the ability to differentiate learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive and proactive approach to supporting pupil's learning and well-being.
