We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at a special needs school in Bradford. This school has high expectations of its pupils and the whole team work together to ensure the best outcomes for all. This is a full-time position is available from November. You will play a crucial role in supporting students with autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties and learning difficulties, helping them to thrive in their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist with the personal needs of pupils including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
- To assist with the supervision of pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning.
- Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and education health care plans (EHCPs).
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support student development.
- Monitor and document student progress and behaviour.
- Encourage social interaction and positive behaviour among students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education are desirable.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
