We are recruiting on behalf of a trusted Accountancy Practice based on the outskirts of Braintree who are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is seeking a fantastic working environment and a company that truly values their employees.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of clients for all bookkeeping and accounting services
- Reviewing and preparing accounts to trial balance
- Prepayments and accruals
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Bank reconciliation, purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
- Management accounts preparation
- Fixed assets register maintenance
- Dealing with and resolving queries
- Bookkeeping quality control
Experience and skills required:
- Practice experience is essential
- Ability to work independently
- Confident and positive can-do attitude
- Excellent client and internal communication skills
- Minimum AAT level 3 qualified or equivalent
- 2 years UK practice experience is preferred
