We are looking for a passionate Head Chef for a permanent opportunity at a Refugee Centre in the Braintree area.
The site is looking for an experienced Chef with experience in cooking in high volume, catering up to 700, with the potential to expanding more.
There is a breakfast, lunch and dinner service, of which you will oversee.
Offering a great work life balance with every other weekend off on a rolling rota.
What's Required:
- Previous Catering experience as a Lead Chef orHead Chef,preferably within high volume restaurants or contract catering environment.
- Confident working in a busy kitchen and posses prior experience supervising staff.
- A high level ofprofessionalism, with respect for others, and a positive attitude towards the day to day workload
- Experience in producing food of a high quality.
- A current level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen certificate
- Valid right to work in the UK.
- Be flexible in approach, self-motivated, well-organised and able to effectively implement improvements.
- Access to your own transport.

Essential
Attainments:
Good secondary education
NVQ qualification or equivalent
Excellent craft skills background
Successful progressive background in catering
Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
Allergen training
Good Supervisory experience
Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
