Join a leading bespoke automation company as a Wireperson. This role is ideal for someone skilled in assembling and connecting wire components. You will work on various projects, ensuring high-quality standards in line with customer specifications.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Fit crimped and soldered connectors to motors, encoders, and cable assemblies according to customer drawings and schematic diagrams, adhering to company or other specified quality standards.
- Use hand tools and automated crimp machines for precise assembly work.
- Conduct inspections of crimps using a visual inspection system and test rigs to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintain tools and equipment to support efficient operations.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of necessary materials.
- Maintain the tidiness and safety of workshop areas.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as directed by the workshop supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electronics wiring or in a similar role involving detailed electronic assembly.
- Proficient in using hand tools and automated machinery for wire crimping and soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good organisational skills to manage stock and maintain workshop areas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
