Are you a highly experienced qualified Finance Director looking to play a key role working alongside the shareholders for a fast-growing business driving year on year growth?

A well-established brand based on the outskirts of Braintree are looking for a seasoned Finance Director to lead the day-to-day financial operations of their well established finance function.

Offering a salary up to £85,000 plus car allowance and bonus, this is a great opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a dynamic working environment.

As a Finance Director you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee all financial activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring the availability of working capital and monitoring bank facilities.
  • Work with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor expenditure and analyse variances to budget, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Deliver clear and accurate financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and variances.
  • Lead, train, and develop the finance team to maintain a high standard of performance.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while ensuring proper oversight of critical functions.
  • Provide finance support to operations, sales, and procurement teams.
  • Help to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.

As a Finance Director you will need to be: 

Education:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Experience:

  • Solid experience in a senior finance role, preferably within manufacturing or automotive sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with financial operations, reporting, and cost control.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • A team player with the ability to build positive relationships across departments
