Sociology and Psychology Teacher

Remedy are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join our dedicated Humanities department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a newly qualified teacher who is passionate about both subjects and keen to inspire students to explore the fascinating world of human behaviour and society.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Psychology and Sociology at Key Stage 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level.

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that stimulate student's interest and critical thinking in both subjects.

Develop and assess effective schemes of work that meet the needs of all learners.

Support students academic and personal development through guidance and mentoring.

Prepare students for their GCSE and A-Level exams, providing constructive feedback and tracking their progress.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages debate and independent thought.

Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Expertise in Psychology and Sociology, with a strong passion for teaching these subjects.

Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Psychology and Sociology is highly desirable.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in thought-provoking discussions.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on student progress.
