Day-to-day of the role:- Project Planning & Initiation:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, risk management, and contingency plans.
- Ensure project objectives are aligned with business strategy.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Execution & Delivery:
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities across departments to ensure project milestones are met.
- Track project progress, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Adjust schedules, priorities, and resources as necessary to accommodate changing business needs.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, monitor, and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
- Escalate critical issues to senior leadership when necessary and propose actionable solutions.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within teams and between departments.
- Post-Project Review:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for future improvement.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement in project management processes.
- PRINCE2, Agile, PMP, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in complexity and scale.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate risks and provide solutions.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing project budgets.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, GANTT).
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both written and verbal.
